Pending Deployment

Keeley Halswelle – Passing Storm

The hum drum of the day to day can feel so mundane,

And when you think ahead about uncertainties you may drive yourself insane.

But there are techniques you can deploy,

Some special strategies you may employ.

First off find a place to breath alone and simply be.

In this place your thoughts you may see

Like clouds of the sky, three hundred sixty degrees.

Feel the air as it blows, making dance leaves of the trees

Rushing and warping around the scenery.

To keep track of one you must follow the seam.

Do this often enough and eventually you’ll find

Like how every day has it’s weather, as too does your mind.

Now once this is achieved, at least for the time being,

You evaluate your life and get to scheming.

Don’t make plans in the midst of a storm.

It’s a recipe for disaster. You have been warned.

Buckle down while you can and hold on tight.

You may be in for one hell of a night.

But when dawn finally breaks free with its exuberant light

You emerge from your bunker weary from fright.

Unintelligible sensations overwhelm your orientation.

Inaudible volumes drone on like bomb sirens.

Assess your surroundings and adjust to the bright.

This conflicting static is the scream of specters and angels delight.

Sooth this sound. Rock the baby to sleep.

Even if you stand firm; remember, still waters run deep.

It is now, during the day, that you live out your dreams.

You cannot catch the wind. Instead, get caught in it’s stream.

There’s peace to be found in even the midst of tornadoes.

Control begets turmoil. Ordo ab chao.
